James G. "Jim" Roth

Sandusky

James G. "Jim" Roth, 64, of Sandusky, passed away early Sunday afternoon, Oct. 20, 2024, at Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Aug. 13, 1960, in Sandusky, Ohio, the son of Todd Alan and Donna Louise (Lane) Roth.

Jim is survived by his brother, Teddy Roth of Sandusky; and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Jim was a 1978 graduate of Sandusky High School. Over the years, Jim had worked at a variety of auto stores, Hartland Auto, Action Auto, and later at Asher Brothers. He loved auto racing and had been involved with The Sandusky Speedway and The Norwalk Dragway. Jim also had a love for nature and for animals, he especially enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels in his neighborhood.

It was Jim's wish to be cremated. A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday morning, Nov. 4, 2024, at Oakland Cemetery, 2917 Milan Road, Sandusky, Ohio.

His family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his name to the Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870 or to Back To The Wild, P.O. Box 423, Castalia, Ohio, 44824.

Arrangements are entrusted to the David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.

RIP....from another 1978 class mate, I remembers James from playing baseball behind the old Hancock School a very long time ago.
