James Wahl Obituary

Jim was born in Sandusky, to Sylvan and Nancy Wahl. He graduated from Margaretta High School in 1979 and married his high school sweetheart, Joni (Johnson) Wahl. They enjoyed 44 years of marriage. Jim loved playing Santa each Christmas, as well as playing guitar and model building.
He is survived by his wife, Joni; and daughters, Megan (Jeff) Caranna, and Amanda (Craig) Murdoch. His grandchildren, Ezra James and Ophelia Ellen Caranna, are the love of his life; father, Sylvan Wahl; and brothers, Jerry (Carrie Jo) Wahl and Joseph Wahl; father-in-law, John D Johnson; sisters-in-law, Jill Johnson and Jeanne (Eric) Schuster; nephews, Zachary (Lexy) Usselman, Alex and Nick Usselman; niece, Nancy Wahl; and grand pup, Bruni.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Wahl; aunt Donna and uncle Bob Welser; grandma and grandpa Woodburn; grandma and grandpa Wahl; mother-in-law, Donna Johnson; and his good friend, Steve Hamilton.
A celebration of life will be Friday, April 18, 2025, at Brushwood Lodge in Summit Metro Parks, Richfield, Ohio.
Memorials can be made to Back to the Wild in Castalia, Ohio.
