Coach Whittington was an excellent football coach but an even better role model The example he set and lessons he instilled were cornerstones in my life. Countless times in my Marine Corps career I found myself drawing from those experiences to forge ahead. Recently I was able to speak with "Coach Whitt" and express my thanks and reminence about those championship years at Edison, I feel truly blessed for that phone conversation.My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family
