Dear Gilbert Siblings,
I am so sorry that Jane has passed. It is so difficult to lose a sister. Your hearts will always be broken but memories will help with healing.
I am not sure if you all remember the Greenes. We lived down the street from you on Wyandot Place many years ago. My mom, Dot and your mom Martha were good friends. We would always go to the beach in Old Homestead with you. Molly, babysat us a couple of times so Mom could go to a Huron Tiger football game to support my dad, Paul coaching the game. Huron was such a wonderful place to live.
My memory of Janie, as we called her, is she would include us littler kids when playing outside. Remember us cutting out pictures on holiday cards or from a catalog and playing with them like dolls? She would always help me cut mine out so they would be perfect. She was so kind to us.
I am sharing in your sadness.

Jane and I worked together at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio in the late 70's early 80's . She and I became friends. When I moved to Boston MA she took care of my cats and put them on a plane for me to pick up here. She was a wonderful nurse and a forever friend. I always miss her.
