David Taylor Obituary

David John Taylor

Dec 3, 1969 - Feb 17, 2026

Marblehead

David John Taylor, 56, of Marblehead, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at Firelands Hospital in Sandusky. David was born December 3, 1969, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, to Clyde and Sharon (Aiston) Taylor. On December 8, 1987, he married the love of his life, Jamie. Together, they built a life centered around their children and grandchildren, the people he was most proud of. He was a wonderful husband, an amazing father and grandfather, and a great friend to many.

David had a passion for music and enjoyed his work as a banquet chef at Catawba Island Club, previously working at Parkvue Community and Danbury Schools. Outside of work, he loved hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors - it was where he felt most at peace.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jamie; his daughter, Destiny (Jason) McMurray of Avon; his son, Joshua Taylor of Marblehead; his grandchildren, Paisley McMurray and Bowman McMurray; his sisters, Cathy Taylor from Tucson, Arizona, Melinda Taylor, Candice Taylor, and Sandy Garr, all of Sandusky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Patricia Kesterson.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2026, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, Lakeside-Marblehead. Services will begin at 4 p.m. with a message from the Rev. Peter Dodd.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Ohio, 3948 W. Alexis Rd. Toledo, OH 43623.
