Janet R. Dickman, 84, of Bay View passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2022, at her daughter's residence following a brief illness.
She was born July 15, 1938, in Sandusky, and was a 1956 graduate of Margaretta High School. Janet worked many years for Decko Products, Sandusky. Her hobbies included traveling, gardening, crocheting, and wood puzzles.
She is survived by two daughters, Catherine (Donald) Platte and Diana (Mike) Frantz, both of Sandusky; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Max Knepper of Hillard; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Duwayne G. Dickman in 2011; daughter, Debora Knepper; parents, Frank and Esther (Schwanger) Stamm; and three brothers, Robert Stamm, Richard Stamm, and Eugene Stamm.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of Janet's funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Sandusky Chapel, 617 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Deacon Bill Burch will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.

My Condolences to the family worked with Janet at Decko products for many years.I will never forget how kind Janet was to me when my mother passed.Alway asking me if I was ok.You are going to be missed my friend.

My condolences. I worked with Janet at Decko for 5 years from 1995 to 2000 and we became good friends. We ate lunches together and enjoyed walking and chatting outside on breaks. I'm glad she was able to have a few good retirement years with her family. She will be missed.
