Janet R. Smith, 63, of Sandusky, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 15, 1961, in Sandusky, to the late Russell R. and Reva S. (Bond) Richardson.
Janet loved the Lord, and she loved her church. She was a member of Father's Heart Family Church. She enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, listening to gospel music, going to Amish Country, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Randall Anthony Smith, whom she married August 30, 1985; her children, Tonya (Jonathon) Smith and Jeffrey (Amanda) Smith; seven grandchildren, Jaleah, Chad Jr., Chloe, Peyton, Malaki, Avory, and Ashlynn; two brothers, Darvis (Laura) and Rick (Linda) Richardson; two sisters, Teresa (Greg) Smith, and Debra (Jewel) Tickles; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of memorial service at 12 p.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Father's Heart Family Church, 2211 Mills St., Sandusky, Ohio 44870. Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave. Sandusky, Ohio 44870, is assisting the family with arrangements.

She was the best aunt anyone could ask for.. always thinking of others, sending holiday or birthday cards to everyone. When I was a little girl I've always remembered missing her when she would leave... They lived in England for quite some time and I really hated it because I couldn't see her all the time . I love you Aunt Janet. Give lots of hugs to mamaw and papaw.. Jeff too.Rest in heaven.
