I´ve had to take a while to even process my thoughts and feelings since my brother died. I just couldn´t come up with words that conveyed what he meant to me and how proud I am of him. I still can´t. I just want to say that his was a life well lived. Everything he did, he did with purpose and intent. He raised a son who he cherished, and who cherished him. He touched people´s lives in ways that he didn´t know, including mine. I´m thankful for him. If I could say something to him right now, I would say "Jason, I´ve always loved you so much. I just wish I would have expressed that more often to you. I wish I would have spent more time with you. I´ve been proud to call you my brother."
I love you always.

I moved back to Cleveland after over 20 years of being away. When I started going to the skatepark, I didn´t know anyone, so I kept to myself - It´s strange to make new friends when you are 40.
Jason immediately struck up a conversation with me and we began hanging out and skateboarding several times a week almost immediately.
I owe all of my new friends in Cleveland to Jason. His kindness and character are rare and I never took it for granted. Although I may have been one of the newest people he met, the impact he left on me will last forever. My condolences to his family and long time friends. We were all lucky to have him in our lives.

I was Jason's teacher at Huron High School. He had an infectious smile, great sense of humor, & loved Skateboarding! He will be truly missed by anyone who knew him. Sending Thoughts & prayers to his family & friends in this time of grief.

Jaws,
I will never smell that sour/sweet aroma of vintage comic book paper again, or watch the greatest sci-fi trilogy ever put to film, without being reminded of you. Thanks for your friendship. Rest now.

I worked next to Jason for years. He always cheered me up through my hardest times and made everything seem manageable. He always took me back to younger nostalgic times. I'm going to miss him a lot.

It´s never fun to say goodbye... but when it´s to someone that touched so many lives in a positive way it sits just a little heavier. Jason... thank you for the laughs, thank you for all the stories but most of all thank you for watching out for Carl and for being his bromance for the last 25 years. I´m not sure if he´s ever going to pick up his board again without his p.i.c. And I know it´s never going to be the same BUT I do know you are forever our Tribe so keep that skate spot up there waxed for when we see you next, Carl will have his board and I my camera and I promise I´ll put the film in correctly this time so it can be developed Much Love to you always and to everyone that is missing you.

I was Jason's neighbor, and moved in when he was in his teens. His mom, Orpha, and his aunt Rose, babysat all 3 of my kids. I watched Jason grow up skake boarding daily in front of the house (and taking some pretty good falls!), and later skake boarding with his son Colin who he had a special bond with. He grew into a pleasant young man, and I recently was able to catch up with him at his mom's funeral. To say this news was a shock, is an understatement! My heart goes out to Colin, Monique, and his whole family. Fly high Jason!

This guy was genuinely passionate about his love for skating and was so awesome just to be around. I only knew him for a short amount of time. Jason and my brother skated in our garage this winter. He was always positive and awesome to talk to about old school video games. I am so glade I met Jason. God is getting a good one. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

What a great guy. I haven´t been in touch with him in years but I will always cherish my memories of skating with him and hanging out in our younger years. I was even the DJ at his wedding! Keep shredding up there, Jaws!

Cleveland, Ohio February 23rd, 2015. Icy, below zero and I was driving the Charger to vend Wizard World. When I begged him to drive this car into the convention center so I could load up and head home, with a twinkle in his eye "you got it buddy." He was excited and I was terrified. One of the best birthday weekends to date. He was good people and I am lucky I could call him friend.
