Jean Quinn Obituary

Jean L. Kokinda Quinn

May 18, 1936 - Nov 22, 2025

Seminole, FL

Jean Kokinda Quinn (nee Quandt) recently passed peacefully in her home in Seminole, Florida. She was 89 years old. Jean grew up in Oak Harbor, Ohio, and lived in Danbury-Lakeside area for over 60 years. She was married to Paul Kokinda (deceased), raised two children and enjoyed a long career working for Danbury Local School District. Jean had numerous lifelong friendships and made countless memories while living there. She retired to Seminole, Florida, where she had lived for the past 20 years and, along with her second husband, Jim, was very active in the community.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Steve Kokinda of Seminole, Florida; daughter, Karen (Mark) Nichta of Westlake Village, California; granddaughter, Carli (Calvin); grandson, Ben (Paulina); and two great-grandchildren, Jack and Olivia.

She was an avid bridge player well into her 80s, a passionate Ohio State Buckeye fan, a gracious hostess, and, mostly, a compassionate friend. She was cherished by all who knew her, and her presence is deeply missed.

There will be a celebration of life in Port Clinton area at a future date.

Memorial contribu-tions may be given in her memory to Suncoast Hospice Foundation.
