Jeffrey S. "Jeff" Ostheimer, 57, of Sandusky, passed away unexpectedly early Monday morning, Dec. 25, 2023, at his home.
Jeff was born Aug. 28, 1966, in Sandusky, the son of Edward Carl Ostheimer and JoAnn Isabel (Good) Flahiff. Jeff was a 1984 graduate of Perkins High School. He has been working at Certainteed, Inc., in Avery, Ohio, for 27 years. Over the years, he enjoyed going out hunting, but he especially loved riding his Harley.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diane E. (Weber) Ostheimer, whom he married July 5, 1986; children, Tyler Ostheimer of Bellevue, Jessica (Stephan Stietz) Ostheimer of Sandusky, and Nathan Ostheimer of Willoughby Hills; three grandchildren; brother, Edward C. Ostheimer II (Steve Andres); three sisters, Kathy (Steve) Tullio, Nicole (James) King, and Amy Jordan; stepfather, Richard Flahiff; and his nieces and nephews.
Jeff was preceded in death by his parents; and brother-in-law, Bill Jordan.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, at David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Jeff's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024, at the funeral home with the Rev. Wally Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Erie County Dog Pound, 2900 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
