Jerry J. Dwight, 81, of North Fairfield, died Monday, June 24, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Bellevue. Jerry was a 1961 graduate of South Central High School.
Jerry worked for Ford Motor Company in Sandusky and was an outdoorsman. A member of NRA, he was also a competitive trap shooter and enjoyed traveling to competitions at all levels from local to national. He also enjoyed hunting.
Left to cherish his memory are Jerry's children, Pamala (Ashwin) Ranchod of North Fairfield and Terry Dwight of Connecticut; grandchildren, Michael Shepherd, Miranda Shepherd, Dori Holmes, Brandon Dwight, and Drew Dwight; six great-grandchildren; and sisters, Barbara Shirey of Willard and Nancy Jenkins of Bellevue.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlotte (Schimpff); parents, Henry and Geraldine (Hartley) Dwight; and brother, Charles Dwight.
Visitation for family and friends will be 2 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, until the time of Jerry's memorial service at 4 p.m. at Walker-Eastman-Heydinger Funeral Home, 98 W. Main St., Norwalk, Ohio, 44857.
Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
