JoAnn L. Behlke, 75, of Danbury Township, passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2024, at her home. She was born July 11, 1949 in Cleveland, the daughter of John and Jean Berr. She married Carl "Mike" Behlke on Nov. 1, 1975, and he preceded her in death Feb. 7, 2024.
JoAnn retired in 2008 from Silgan Plastics, where she was the plant manager. She enjoyed reading, pool days with Nancy and Becky, annual trips to Las Vegas, and most of all, spending time with her family. She was a CASA Volunteer for ten years and a passionate supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospitals.
Surviving are her children, Todd Behlke of Huffman, Texas and Jodi Leigh Wheeler of Marblehead; grandchildren, Eric Wheeler and Makenzie Jo Wheeler; sisters, Jane (Mark Hudak) Hermes of Catawba Island and Judy McWayne of Cleveland; brother, Doug Berr of New Jersey; and sister-in-law Carole Behlke of Santa Rosa, California.
A celebration of life will be from 12-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, 2024, at Neidecker, Crosser & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd, Lakeside-Marblehead, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
