Joanne Baaske Obituary

Joanne V. Baaske

Jul 19, 1943 - Mar 17, 2025

Sandusky

Joanne V. Baaske, 81, of Sandusky, entered her Lord's welcoming embrace on Monday, March 17, 2025. She passed away peacefully in the Stein Hospice Care Center from a returning, aggressive cancer. During her final days, she was surrounded by her loved ones and the angels of hospice.

She was born July 19, 1943, in Sandusky and was a proud graduate of Perkins High School's class of 1961 - the very first graduating class. Joanne was a loving wife and dedicated homemaker whose greatest joys were sharing life with her husband, raising her family, and creating special moments for her parents, children, grandchildren, and many others. She had a strong faith in the Lord and was a member of the Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, where she taught Sunday School for over 20 years. Joanne enjoyed cooking and baking, music, puzzles and games, flower gardening, and cheering on the Cleveland Guardians. Known for her helping hands, listening ear, and caring heart, Joanne's legacy of love will be cherished by those whose lives she touched.

She is survived by her adoring husband of 60 years, Thomas C. Baaske; four daughters, Jodi (Doug) Greulich of Huron, Sonya (Jamie) Perozek of Williamsburg, Virginia, Natalie (Wally) Greene of Crestwood, Kentucky, and Andrea (Andrew) Bohn of Castalia; 13 grandchildren, Kaity and Kylie Greulich, Sutton and Teagan Perozek, Justin and Madison Greene, Jackson Adkins, Kolton and Danika Edwards, Xavier, Xander, Jaxson, and Jerzie Bohn; two sisters, Joyce Swint and Deborah David, both of Sandusky; nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Virginia (Hand) Spring; and one brother, Albert C. Spring.

Family and friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2025, at Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene, 1617 Milan Road, Sandusky, Ohio 44870, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of Joanne's funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the church. Pastor Keith Martinez will officiate. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery, Sandusky.

Memorial contributions may be made to Sandusky Community Church of the Nazarene Children's Ministries or Stein Hospice Care Center, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 44870.
