John W. Anderson Sr.

Sandusky

John W. Anderson Sr., 76, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, at Firelands Health.

He was born March 6, 1947, in Sandusky, to Nelson and Ida Mae (Hoelzer) Anderson.

He was a veteran of U.S. Army.

He was employed by General Motors for over 34 years and was a certified boat captain.

He loved fishing, playing pool in several leagues, and was a member of Sandusky Eagles, American Legion Post 83, and the local union #913.

He is survived by his daughter, Carolynn Anderson of Perrysburg; grandchildren, Felicia Marie Riedy, Nicholas Allan Sebetto, and Gracie Marie Sebetto; one great-granddaughter; sister, Patty Sartor of Sandusky; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Laura Anderson; son, John Anderson Jr.; and brothers, David Anderson, Thomas Anderson, and Terry Anderson.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at McPherson Cemetery, Clyde. U.S. Army will provide a military tribute.

Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.
