John Lewis Burrow Jr., 76, of Norwalk, died Friday, June 28, 2024, at Fisher-Titus Medical Center, Norwalk.
John was born March 21, 1948, in Sandusky. He graduated from Sandusky High School in 1966. He then attended Bowling Green State University where he earned his bachelor's degree. John worked as an assistant store manager at various Sear's locations until his retirement.
An avid Ohio sports fan, John enjoyed cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Guardians, and Cleveland Cavaliers. He liked to stay busy and enjoyed working on projects outdoors and, after his retirement, working part time at Milan Library and Kroger to keep himself occupied. Most important to John, however, was his family and he treasured the time that he spent with those he loved most.
John's survivors include his beloved wife, Susan (Schaffer), whom he wed Sept. 16, 1983; children, John (Olivia) Burrow of Norwalk and Jenna (Kevin) Bickerstaff of Fortson, Georgia; and granddaughter, Marie Grace Bickerstaff.
John was a private man that loved deeply and will be missed by many friends and relatives left to cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara (Perry) Burrow Sr.
Memorial Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2024, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church with Father Ron Schock presiding. Interment will follow immediately at St. Alphonsus Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

My condolences goes to John's family. I've worked with John for many years at Kroger and working beside him was a privilege and he was always there for us employees through the good times and bad. It was an honor and privilege to know and work with him by his side.
