John Louis "Jack" Dutton, 90, of Sandusky, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025. He is the beloved husband of Renee Maria (nee Tomcheski) Dutton of Sandusky; loving father of Terri (Bryan) Drohan of Hudson, Lisa Dutton of Sandusky, and the late Jon Edward Dutton. John is the cherished grandfather of Chelsea Drohan, Dr. Callie Drohan (Dr. Shantanu Warhadpande), Brynne Drohan (Max Svarz); dear great-grandfather of Mira June Warhadpande; and stepgrandparent of Tina and Evan McCord. He is the brother of the late Jean (Emery) Ward and the late Charles (Jean) Dutton; and many nieces and nephews. Jack shared a lifelong friendship with his childhood friend Dave Biechele.

He was a graduate of Sandusky High School and University of Dayton. After college, Jack worked for and then retired from Ford Motor Company in Sandusky. Jack was a lifelong avid birder, his favorite being the Kirtlands warbler. He traveled to new locations with his wife and son to find birds to add to his "list." He was an outdoorsman who loved hiking, boating and anything involving nature. He was truly at peace enjoying the outdoors and spoke fondly of navigating Lake Erie with his father's Lyman boat, Char-Jac. Jack never met a stranger and loved connecting with people. His sense of humor was legendary and will be missed.
