John "Jack" A. Erne, 75, formerly of Huron and Sandusky, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026, at Firelands Regional Medical Center. Born April 1, 1951. Jack's parents are both from Kelley's Island, and he spent some of his childhood living there.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents, Detsy Erne and Andy Erne, and his siblings, Bill Erne, Jane Erne, Jim Erne, and Joan Blade.
Jack is survived by his wife, Dayle Erne; daughters, Jocelyn Erne and Janelle (Chris) Bronish; siblings, BeAnne Petrick and Tom (Debbie) Erne; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family would like to extend a personal thank you to Jack's family, close friends, business associates, and FRMC ICU staff.
Honoring Jack's wishes, there will be no service. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory in Sandusky is assisting with arrangements. The family plans to have a semi-private celebration of life ceremony at a later date.
