John M. Grubb, 77, of Bellevue, peacefully passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Bellevue Care Center. He was born January 14, 1948, in Lorain, the beloved son of Willard "Pete" and Thelma (Toomey) Grubb.

A proud veteran, John honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1967 until 1971. Following his military service, he dedicated many years to Norfolk Southern Railroad, where he worked diligently as a conductor until his retirement. Beyond his professional life, John was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He also enjoyed the camaraderie and fellowship offered by Eagles Aerie 490 and VFW Post 1238.

On May 28, 1977, John married the love of his life, Marilyn (Gilkey), in Groveport. She survives along with their two children, Dustin Grubb of Bellevue and Molly (Destry) Weaver of Tiffin; two grandchildren, Darin Grubb and Corrinne "Corri" Weaver, who brought immense joy to his life. He is also survived by his brothers-in-law, Jim Gilkey of London, Ohio, and Ed Gilkey of Groveport.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Willard "Pete" and Thelma Grubb; and his brother, Gary, who passed away in infancy.

Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2025, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, where a funeral service with military honors will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the funeral home.
