John Earl Hahn, 82, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Sunday morning, June 22, 2025, at Bellevue Care Center after a brief illness.

John was born on May 31, 1943, in Sandusky, to the late Earl and Betty (Baker) Hahn.

John graduated from Perkins High School in 1964 and continued his education at an electrical school. He was a veteran of the Army National Guard. He retired from General Motors, Sandusky, in 2006 after 38 years of service as a crib attendant. John was a member of Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Sandusky Orioles Club, and American Legion Post 83. He enjoyed fishing, working on small engines, flea markets, visiting and dining at local clubs, and working and spending time with family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Nancy (Kimberlin) Hahn, whom he married June 17, 1967. He is also survived by daughter, Amie (Tim) Parry of Sandusky; and son, Jeff (Dawn) Hahn of Norwalk; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Jordan, Aaron, and Brooke; and great-grandchild, Iggy; four sisters, Patti Hand of Huron, Susan (Jim) Blainey of Sandusky, Mary Ann Lopez of Indiana, and Sharon (Paul) Strain of Tennessee; brother, Tom (Amy) Hahn of Michigan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by his brother, William Hewitt; and his stepmother, Irene Hahn-Johannsen.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at noon Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. A private family burial will take place at Sand Hill Cemetery, Castalia.
