Juanita Mae (Stark) Hershiser, 87, residing in Castalia, passed away Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023, at home following a brief illness.
Juanita was born Aug. 26, 1936, in North Monroeville, to Victor and Cynthia (White) Stark Sr.
She enjoyed bird feeding, camping, and playing cards, but she most enjoyed supporting her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Roger Hershiser, whom she married Sept. 3, 1955; daughter, Dawn (Alan) Gast of Sandusky; sons, Dean (Lisa) Hershiser of Boliver, Missouri, and Duane Hershiser of Castalia; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Richard Behrendsen and Victor "Herb" Stark Jr.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, until the time of Juanita's funeral at 12 p.m. at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with Pastor Wally Gilbert presiding. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
