Sandusky
June Collins, 80, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center.
She was born Nov. 7, 1943, in Danville, Kentucky, to Artelia (Fossett) Belle and Thomas E. Pope Sr.. She graduated from Sandusky High School.
June worked numerous careers over the years, retiring from Ohio Veterans Home (OVH) in 2008. She loved her family and enjoyed working in her yard and planting flowers.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brothers, Thomas (Gwen) Pope Jr., George (Janet) Pope, and Robert (Melanne) Pope; former husband, James McDonald; and a host of nieces and nephews to honor her memory.
June was preceded in death by her parents; and second husband, Curtis Collins.
Visitation for friends will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2024, until time of remembrances at 12 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

I had to read the words twice, still not believing. Friend and neighbor for over 30 years, even though I had moved I would still stop by the neighborhood and we would sit and chat, even going back to our days at Grill Meats. Many memories.....condolences to the family.

I met June in 1999. She was my first dreadlock client. We had wonderful times. My heart sank when Kenny gave me the news. I was wanted to scream. June I love You and I will dearly miss you. My life will not be the same without you. .
