Kay Knight, 80, residing in Sandusky, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 6, 2024, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.
At her request cremation will take place and private family services will be. Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.

Kay was a part of my life from literally the time I was born in the early 1960's until her passing. An absolutely wonderful family friend and educator. She babysat me as an infant, was a dear family friend for decades, also my 4th grade teacher, and ultimately a co-worker at Perkins High School. She was demanding of her students, and held them to high standards, while working tirelessly to instill a love of reading in their lives. I know that my memories of her won't fade, and the impact that she made on my life (and the lives of thousands of students during her 40+ year career) is immeasurable. Thanks for being such an awesome person KC!
