Kelley Hoellrich Obituary

Kelley Jude Hoellrich

Apr 13, 1970 - Mar 5, 2024

Rockbridge

Kelley Jude Hoellrich, 53, of Rockbridge, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus.

She was born April 13, 1970, in Sandusky, the daughter of Diane Louise (Heilman) Schaefer and Raymond Anthony Schaefer. Kelley married Eric Hoellrich who survives.

Many people are said to be amazing after they die, but Kelley really, truly was. She was a 1988 graduate of Perkins High School. She was an accomplished athlete, becoming a varsity letterman on the Bowling Green State University dive team. She was a dedicated mother helping raise three daughters to become teachers, scientists, and business professionals. She found a profession as computer programmer analyst before devoting 20 years to the Logan Hocking school district, where she had various positions.

Kelley lived life to the fullest, from traveling the world to attending trivia nights with her friends and family. She was truly a kind and generous soul, always putting others' needs before her own. Her love and compassion extended to all who knew her. She will be deeply and endlessly missed. She was loved more than she could possibly know.

In addition to her husband and mother, Kelley is survived by her daughters, Mikaela Hoellrich, Emma Hoellrich, and Caitlin Hoellrich; and brother, Derek (Dawn) Schaefer of Perrysburg.

Kelley was preceded in death by her father; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Jeanne Schaefer; and maternal grandparents, Patricia and Louis Heilman.

Kelley's celebration of life to honor her memory will be 3-7 p.m. Friday, March 22, 2024, at Mylander Pavilion on the Jackson St. pier. We invite anyone who knew her to attend and remember her wonderful life. We ask attendees to wear bright colors.

In place of flowers, we invite anyone who is able to make a donation to the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation (https://nlmsf.org/) in Kelley's honor.

I´m so sorry to just hear of Kelley´s passing. I worked with her for several years at Nationwide Insurance. I always admired her dedication and the drive from Sugar Grove to Dublin and Grove City to quality check quarterly statements or assist someone with an issue. Kelley, Deedee Hedges and I spent many hours, even one New Year´s Eve together. She was always so kind and incredibly intelligent, our go to person. I´m so sorry for your families loss. Heaven gained an amazing person.

Kelly first stood out to me at an elementary school program when she danced with some others on the gym floor while I watched from the raised bleachers. I could not believe someone that young could be so very graceful. She looked like she was dancing on a cloud. She maintained that deep and quiet competence all through high school. She is a unique loss to all of those around her.
