Kim Burchett Alexander, 54, of Sandusky, passed away Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, at UH Medical Center, Cleveland.

She was born Sept. 27, 1968, in Sandusky, to Regina and Charley Burchett, and graduated from Sandusky High School.

She worked with her father at SE Johnson Construction Co. for a number of years and then became a member of Laborer's Union Local 480 in Sandusky, where she worked for 26 years for various contractors. Kim also served as an Auditor for over seven years on the Executive Board of Laborer's Local 480.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, fishing, cleaning, and watching her favorite show, Judge Judy. She loved going to church and singing congregational songs and solos.

She is survived by her son, Katravion Alexander of Sandusky; mother, Pastor Regina Burchett of Sandusky; brothers, Kevin Burchett, Kenny Burchett, Kaire Burchett, Kyle Burchett, and Kameron Burchett; sisters, Kelly Burchett, Kreshea Burchett, Kaiana Kinsinger, and Kayleah (Corey) Brown; a host of nieces and nephews; two great-nephews; God brother, Henry Williams; God sister, Daniella Graves-Parker; special friends, Cindy Gregory, Fonda Aaron Hughes, and Sharon McGill; and long-time friend and father of her son, Shon Brown.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charley Burchett; grandson, Kai'Ceon Demir Alexander; her son's God parents, Desiree and Rex Brown; maternal grandparents, Laura and Robert Carey; and paternal grandparents, Dora and Morton Burchett.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, until the time of Kim's funeral at 12 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 1219 Pierce St., Sandusky. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.

Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky, is handling arrangements.

I would like to extend my condolences, prayers and love to to the Alexander and Burchett family Kim was thee most beautiful person we shared many stories and laughs and talks, the love of her life was her son. You will be truely missed but I know you´re sitting up there with our father in the golden gates. I love you and I will truely miss our talks. I want to express my deepest sympathy to her family and her son. Kim was a very dear friend of mine. We had lots of years of memories to share. She took her first plane ride with me to Florida and had the time of her life. I love and miss you through eternity Kim until we meet again.
