Kim Bache Obituary

Kim G. Bache

Jul 17, 2023

Vermilion

Kim G. Bache, 68, died peacefully Monday, July 17, 2023, at home surrounded by family after a short illness.

Kim was born to Ralph and Glenna Bache in Norwalk and was a Vermilion resident for the past four years after raising his family in Huron.

He graduated from The Ohio State University and began working in restaurant hospitality. With his family growing, he started his 30-year career in insurance, later taking on Bache & Associates in Norwalk.

Kim loved spending time on the waters of Lake Erie boating with family and friends, fishing with his brother, Kevin, and rowing with his wife, Linda.

He was a life-long music and guitar enthusiast. He could often be heard jamming together with his oldest friends.

A jack-of-all-trades, Kim spent many hours restoring his home, boats, and tending his garden. He always had a piece of furniture in the basement to work on. His aptitude for problem solving was passed on to his daughter, Brittany, and love of building and repairing to his daughter, Jenna.

Kim was a testament to his community. Wherever he resided, life grew a touch brighter. He was an Eagle Scout, member of Grace Episcopal Church in Sandusky, Rotary, and Western Reserve Rowing Association Equipment Manager serving on the Board of Directors.

Most of all, Kim was a deep well of love for his family, friends, and animals. He never hesitated to jump in and help out whenever he got the call. He was someone you were relieved to see when something was going wrong. You knew you were in good hands.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Linda Bache; daughters, Brittany (Tyler) Rosenberger and Jenna Bache; grandchildren, Carter and Brynn Rosenberger; brother, Kevin (Laura) Bache; and dogs, HoneyBee and Stewart.

Kim's family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at Cleveland Clinic and Mercy Hospice for their diligent, compassionate care during the last months of his life.

A private family celebration of life will take place.
