LaMarr "Marty" Johnson, 64, Sandusky, passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 15, 2023, at his residence.
He was born Jan. 20, 1958, to the late Lee Henry and Estella (Woods) Johnson Sr.
LaMarr was a 1977 graduate of Sandusky High School and entered the work force during high school. He was employed by Sawmill Creek, Firelands Regional Medical Center, and Drug Mart.
Marty, as he was known by his family and friends, loved his cars, fishing, and watching TV.
LaMarr leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, AJia Aaron of Columbus, Ohio; brothers, Lee Henry Johnson Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee, and Julian (Lisa) Johnson of Hazelgreen, Alabama; sisters, Claudette (Freddie) White of Springfield, Massachusetts, and Renee Johnson of Sandusky; special nephew, Julian Johnson Jr.; companion, Betty Robison; beloved pet, Peanut; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ethel Roldan, Harriet Russell, and Carolyn Campbell; and brothers, Clyde Green, Ulysses H. Green Jr., and James Reese Green in infancy.
Friends may call 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 26, 2023, until the time of Marty's memorial service at 12 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. The Rev. Darrell Gant will officiate.
