Linda Goostree, 73, residing in Norwalk, went home to our Lord Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.

Linda was born Jan. 30, 1949, to the late Robert G. and Rita M. Pfanner of Sandusky.

Linda attended St. Mary's High School in Sandusky. As a teen, Linda spent many years in the Sandusky Eaglettes. She resided in Miami, Florida from 1985 to 2012 and worked at various administrative positions. Linda was employed at one time for a private contractor at N.A.S.A. Plum Brook station and ultimately worked at Turkey Point Nuclear facility in South Miami.

Linda is survived by her husband of 38 years Michael W. Goostree; her siblings, Cynthia (Joe) Fitzgerald, Mary Beth (Chuck) Williams and Rob (Becky) Pfanner all of Sandusky; a daughter Kelly (David) Houtz of Dunnellon, Florida; three sons, Kevin and Brian Stewart both of Ocala Florida, Joe (Tammi) Lewis of Williston, Florida; step-mother to Duane (Penny) Goostree of Norwalk, Michael Douglas (Shawna) Goostree of Madison, Ohio and 13 grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her step-son, Darrin J. Goostree; a brother-in-law, Joseph Fitzgeral; mother-in-law, Eunice Goostree; and father-in-law, John Douglas Goostree.

Per Linda's request, Groff Funeral Home, Sandusky is in charge of the arrangements and cremation will take place.

Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with family and friends gathering afterwards to celebrate her life at St. Mary's Gathering Space. Private interment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Sandusky.
