Linda L. Roe, 74, of Castalia, passed away Friday afternoon, Sept. 23, 2022, at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.

She was born March 12, 1948, in Buffalo, New York, where she graduated from Lafayette High School in 1966. In 1974, she moved to Bassett, then Bristol, Wisconsin, to start a farm and raise her family. She later took a job at Southern Colony, home for the developmentally disabled, where she would work for 20 years before retiring. While in Bristol, Wisconsin, she was a member of Bristol Driftbusters and volunteered for 4-H. Following retirement, she moved to Castalia, when she married her husband, Larry Roe, in 2001. Here, she worked at American Legion, Sandusky, for 20 years. Linda was a very active member of Castalia Congregational U.C.C. and an avid reader. Linda loved to take long drives with her husband in the fall to see all the leaves changing colors and she was a consistent donor to many charities.

She is survived by her husband, Larry Roe; children, Lisa Drennan, David McIsaac, Tasha Rivas, Kenneth Duttweiler, and Billie (Matt) Mojonnier; stepchildren, Michelle Roe and Stephanie Roe; many many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne (Sam Guercio) Johnson; brothers, Richard (Kim) Johnson and Barry Johnson; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Joyce (Custred) Johnson; stepson, James Roe; sister and brother in-law, Darlene and Joe College; and brothers, Kenneth and Randall Johnson.

Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022, at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia.
