Lois Binger Obituary

Lois Jean Binger

Jul 31, 1933 - May 27, 2023

Clyde

Lois Jean (Moyer) Binger, 89, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, exceptional nurse (earning Nurse of the Year), amazing cook, but above all, a dedicated Christian disciple, died Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

Lois always saw the best in everyone, but never truly herself. What she doesn't know is that she has left a legacy in each person she has ever encountered. Her kind words of praise and encouragement, her soft voice when she would call us to wish us happy birthday, always fearful of taking our time, are among the things that will never be forgotten.

Lois was born July 31, 1933, in Bellevue, Loretta (Berberick) and Lawrence Moyer. She was raised by her father and stepmother, Hazel Soule Moyer.

She was a 1952 graduate of Bellevue High School and then later Sandusky School of Practical Nursing. She was a nurse at the former Providence Hospital in Sandusky, and then home health.

Lois was a member of Mount Carmel Methodist Church. She served on the School of Hope Board, which she truly held dear to her heart.

Lois loved to garden and then can the produce from that effort.

She married Robert B. Binger on July 10, 1954, and he survives. She is also survived by three children, Susan (Forrest) Cramer of Castalia, Robert M. Binger of Willard, and Don W. (Carrie) Binger of Clyde; 13 grandchildren, Angela Cramer, Cody (Ellen) Cramer, Ben (Megan) Cramer, and Jordan (Cory) Marvin, Jason Binger, Brittany (Grady) Sizemore, Ryker Binger, River Binger, Dale Churchill, Josh (Hilary) Churchill, Nick (Samantha) Churchill, Cole (fiancé' Haley) Binger, and Jenna Binger; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Binger in 1979; and siblings, Gladys Newman, Larry Moyer, and Leo Moyer.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2023, until the time of Lois' service at 12 p.m. at Mount Carmel Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Engle officiating. Burial will be later at Parkhurst Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to School of Hope.
