LuAnne K. (Stine) Koch, 70, of Sandusky, passed away early Monday morning, Jan. 1, 2024, at Admirals Pointe Nursing and Rehabilitation, Huron, due to complications from a massive stroke which she suffered Aug. 6, 2023. LuAnne also fought a courageous 20-year battle with breast cancer.
She was born June 7, 1953, in Fremont, and was a graduate of Huron High School. LuAnne was the office manager at Wilkes and Company for over 25 years before retiring in 2019.
Over the years, she enjoyed reading, going shopping, watching her soap operas and cooking shows, but she especially loved spending time with her family, the grandchildren, and her dog.
LuAnne is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert C. "Bob" Koch Jr.; two daughters, Shannon (Jamie) Kramer of Milan and Stefanie (Nick) Diederich of Huron; grandchildren, Carter, Grayson, Grace, and Joey; mother, Donna Thompson; and sister, Charlene Stine.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Merle Thompson; and maternal grandmother, Ruth Klinck.
Private funeral services will take place at David F. Koch Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sandusky
The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Stein Hospice Service, Inc., 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870, or Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior Street, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
Arrangements have been entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.

I met Luanne in 3rd grade. She was always such fun to be around and an important part of my childhood. Condolences to her family. May she rest in peace in heaven. Heaven received a special angel.
