Margaret R. Dalton, 93, residing in Sandusky, passed away Friday evening, Sept. 30, 2022, at Stein Hospice Care Center following a brief illness.
She was born Oct. 8, 1928, in East Stone Gap, Virginia, to the late Harvey C. and Margaret L. (Qualls) Anderson.
She moved to Sandusky in 1947 and retired from New Departure Hyatt as an Inspector after 30 years of service. She enjoyed trips back home to East Stone Gap, especially to see the mountains and in the fall to see all the colors changing, visiting Amish country, lighthouses, and family gatherings.
Margaret is survived by two sons, Clarence E. (Diane Sabo) Dalton Jr. and Jeffrey M. (Sandy) Dalton, both of Sandusky; grandchildren, Jennifer K. (Brianin Bernard) Oiler, Tracy M. (Paul) DeFazio, Raquel (Kyle) Kelley, and J Michael Dalton; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Nolan, Ella, Lilly, Emily, Olivia, Rynn, Neve, and Rhett; brother, Roy L. Anderson of Lawrenceburg, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Dalton Sr.; sister, Lois Bishop; and two brothers, Hiram and Johnnie Anderson.
Private family services will be at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Ken Hiser will officiate. Entombment will be at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
Memorial contributions may be made to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
