Margery Aigler, 93, of Bellevue, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at The Bellevue Hospital.

She was born May 15, 1929, in Bellevue, the daughter of Paul J. and Lorena (Martin) Aigler.

Margery was a graduate of the former York High School. She served in U.S. Navy and stationed in California from 1951-1955 as part of the WAVES program. Margery was a graduate of Bowling Green State University where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degree. She began her teaching career at York School before transitioning to the role of guidance counselor at Bellevue High School. Following her retirement, she worked at the former Walden Books in Sandusky.

Margery lived on her family farm in Bellevue for her entire life. She was an avid reader, enjoyed completing puzzles, skiing in her earlier years, and traveling to Florida.

She is survived by her nephews, Bob (Linda) Skiles, Paul Skiles, and Matt Skiles; niece, Wendy (Mark) David; niece-in-law, Nola Skiles; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Skiles; brother-in-law, Glenn Skiles; and nephews, Timothy and David Skiles.

Friends will be received 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Foos & Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue. Margery's funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at Bellevue Cemetery.
