Mark Allen Strickland

Mark Allen Strickland died Monday, February 23, 2026, at Cleveland Clinic after a long illness. Mark was born July 30, 1973, in Marion. Mark loved God, his family and friends, helping people, driving and fishing. He graduated from River Valley High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center in Marion and from the University of Northwestern Ohio in Lima. He donated over four gallons of blood, worked as an EMT in Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky, and was a volunteer firefighter for Danbury Township, Ohio. He was working at Holcomb Enterprises in Port Clinton as a parking lot sweeper.

Mark is survived by his fiancée, Phoebe Van Zoest of Sandusky; his parents, Wilbur (Bill) and Linda (Lynn) Strickland (Malone) of Marion; his sisters, Marlo Fry of Mt. Sterling and Marcie and Mark Huffman of Galena; and six nieces, three great-nephews, and a great-niece.

Mark is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia (Telgkamp); niece, Caroline Huffman; his grandparents, James and Edna Malone, and Donald and Betty Strickland.

Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at St. John Lutheran Church, 117 Stone Street, Marblehead, Ohio 43440.

In lieu of flowers, please make a blood or monetary donation to your local American Red Cross Chapter.

To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.
