Mary Lou (Haluscsak) Fisher, 85, residing in Westlake, but spending most of her life in Milan, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at Brookedale Gardens, Westlake.

Mary Lou was born July 14, 1938, in Cleveland, to Joseph and Emily (Devaty) Haluscsak.

Mary Lou graduated from St. Joseph Academy and St. Johns College. She was a member of Sisters of St. Joseph in Rocky River and taught at numerous Catholic Schools in the Cleveland area. Mary Lou was an active member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Milan and taught PSR classes for many years. She enjoyed dancing, country music, traveling, everything angels, family gatherings, and spending time with her friends and family. She was a very loving and generous person to all and will be missed by many.

Mary Lou is survived by her sisters, Judy Flannery of Westlake, Rita (Ed) Goebel of Erie, Pennsylvania, Emily (Jim) Sullivan of Willoughby Hills, and Peggi (Jim) Domzalski of Berea; brother, Joseph (Donna) Haluscsak of Olmsted Twp.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Charles H. Fisher, whom she married Feb. 21, 1975.

Visitation for friends will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 4, 2024, until the time of Mass of Christian burial at 12 p.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Milan, with Father Valerian Larawa presiding. Burial will follow at St. Anthony's Cemetery, Milan.

Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, Milan Chapel, is assisting family with arrangements.

Mary Lou is my cousin. She has always been an angel in my eyes and in my heart. She set a wonderful example for the entire family. She now awaits us in heaven with open arms. God bless her and the entire family.
