Mary Belle (Riley) Newman, 93, of Sandusky, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, June 17, 2023, at Parkvue Health Care Center, Sandusky.
Mary was born June 5, 1930, in Portsmouth, the daughter of Jack and Edna (Birchfield) Riley. In years past, she was a bartender, but she especially was the care giver for Ruth Wenske for many years before retiring. Mary will be remembered by her family how she loved to cook and enjoyed being active and working throughout the years. She attended Faith Memorial Church.
She is survived by a son, Jack L. Newman of Sandusky; seven grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leo J. Newman (1997); daughter, Edna "Connie" Crane (1992); two brothers; and three sisters.
It was her wish to be cremated. No services will take place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to David F. Koch Funeral and Cremation Services, 520 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky.
