Mary Ann (Pasqualini) Spencer, 99, residing in Sandusky, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2024, after a brief illness.
She was born May 14, 1925, in Bellevue, to Dante and Teresa (Collechia) Pasqualini.
Mary attended Bellevue High School. She married Herman Spencer Jr. on April 14, 1951, beginning a lifelong journey together. She dedicated 38 years of service at Barr Rubber, where she was known for her hard work and dedication. Mary was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and I.A.B. Club, where she built lasting friendships and contributed to her community. In her free time, Mary found joy in dancing, gardening, cooking (especially ravioli), exploring new places through travel, and cherishing moments with her beloved family.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Rose Marie (Davis) Gagnon of Sandusky; granddaughters, Amy (Joseph) Cabot and Reneé (Jeff) Didion; brother, Nicholas (Eleanor) Pasqualini; special friend and caretaker, Cindi Chapman; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman L. Spencer Jr.; four brothers, Giovanni, Alex, Julius, and Carl; sister, Angline Patterson; and son-in-law, Arthur Gagnon.
Visitation for friends will be 4-7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Prayer services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church. Burial will follow at Perkins Cemetery, Sandusky.
