Sandusky

Melvin Turner Alexander, 70, of Sandusky, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, after a lengthy illness.

He was born Nov. 25, 1953, in Franklin, Kentucky, to Sylvester and Margaret Helen (Cheek) Alexander.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, spending time with family, and going to barbeques to drink and eat good food.

Melvin is survived by his children, Wilona Young of Fort Worth, Texas, and Ray Shaun Grant of Norwalk; many grandchildren; siblings, Frank (Carrie) Alexander, Donnie (Marchelle) Alexander, Carey (Gwen) Alexander, Ella (Russ) Paden-Emmons, Fanny (Ervin) Turner, and Barbara Caffey; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Tobin and Preston Alexander; and sisters, Patricia Burchett and Mattie Green.

Visitation for friends will be 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2024, until the time of Melvin's memorial service at 1 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Avenue, Sandusky. Pastor Shadonna Navarro will officiate.
