Merrill E. "Bud" Frische, 97, of Castalia, passed away Friday afternoon, June 7, 2024, at Admiral's Point Nursing and Rehabilitation, Huron.
He was born July 22, 1926, in Ironton, and graduated from Ironton High School. Merrill proudly served in U.S. Army and was member of American Legion. He worked and retired from New Departure as a machine operator and was a member of UAW. Merrill was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, Clyde, where he loved to sing in the choir. He was also a member of the Town and Country Players.
He is survived by his daughter, Linda Keegan; son, Scott Frische; daughter in-law, Brenda Frische; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Margie Clegg and Karen (Dennis) Dickess; and many nieces and nephews.
Merrill was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Pemberton) Frische; parents, John and Norella (McKean) Frische; sons, Rodney Frische and Steve Frische; and a host of brothers and sisters.
Visitation for friends will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2024, until the time of Merrill's services at 12 p.m. at Ransom Funeral & Cremation Service, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia. Burial will be at Castalia Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Stein Hospice Services, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
