Michael H. Barnicle, 79, of Berlin Heights, passed away peacefully early Sunday, Dec. 18, 2022, at his residence with the care of his family and Southern Care Hospice.

He was born Feb. 11, 1943, in Lorain, to Charles W. and Irene Mary (Dunegan) Barnicle.

Michael graduated from St. Mary's in Lorain in 1962. He was a letterman in football and tennis. He was a veteran of the National Guard Infantry. He retired from I.C.I. in Huron. In his spare time, he enjoyed old movies and old music as well as football. He was known for always being filled with wit, humor, and Irish limericks. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Michael is survived by his spouse, Joyce (Bucklew) Barnicle; children, Tonya Barnicle of Berlin Heights, Shawn Barnicle of Texas, and Eric (Staci) Barnicle of Milan; grandchildren, Corey M., Storm M., Ciera M., and Cydnie M. Barnicle; beloved great-grandsons, Cashton and Carver Barnicle; sister, Sarah Mason; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Michael was also preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel, Donald, Richard, Joseph, and James; and grandson, Colton M., in 1998.

The family would like to thank those who cared for Michael at Fisher Titus Medical Center and Southern Care Hospice.

A graveside service where friends and friends can gather will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, at Riverside Cemetery Route 61 (South Street), Berlin Heights, with Melvin Sayler presiding. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Berlin Heights.

Those wishing to contribute to Michael's memory may do so to Southern Care Hospice, 9501 US 250 Suite 2, Milan, Ohio, 44846.

Joyce and Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Mike was such a nice guy. Although we all haven´t seen each other for years i´m sure he was still a great guy.
I lost Thom last February so I understand your pain. Know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.
