Michael Metroka Obituary

I was shocked to find this, he and his wife were so loving and caring for me and my puppy. He knew it was difficult for me to let go of my puppy and re assured me throughout the process. He went that extra mile. I was hunting for his number and discovered his passing as it is time to let go of my old kitty. May he be in God's loving arms in eternal peace.

I am just now stumbling across an article that shared that Dr. Metroka was no longer with us on this side. What a compassionate and beautiful soul he was. Being a first time pet owner, I was clueless and scared out of my mind when it came to taking care of our Goldendoodle Copper. Dr. Metroka was always so extremely flexible and willing to answer and reassure me about every concern that I had. He will most certainly be missed. We appreciate you dearly Dr. Metroka for walking with us through the first year of Copper's life. God bless you.

Dr. Metroka was the best always there for your pet family. I just found out about his passing today. I´m so sorry to his wife and family..my thoughts and prayers go out to them. He will be greatly missed by all. Thanks for all he did for my Pippin Holly and Sasha I´ll never forget him for his great care.

Dr. Metroka was a great vet. My heart aches for his wife and all those he left behind.

Dr Metroka,
I will forever be grateful for all you did for my Bosley. He was hit by a car and when I brought him to you he was in shock and I did not think he was going to make it. He had a fractured hip and several lacerations. I came in crying because i was afraid I was going to have to put him to sleep. You kept him for a few days and assured me he would recover. You also made sure that money was not a problem and helped me tremendously so that I could afford the care for him. He lived for 11 more years after that day and passed away July 1, 2022. I sure hope he got to see you when you arrived up there. I know he was very thankful for you as well and always loved seeing you and your little pup when we came to the office. You will be missed Doc.

Dr. Mike,
You took care of my 3 cats I recused. When my Dewey cat had a bowel blockage he sent me to North Ridgeville Animal hospital he told me North Ridgeville Animal hospital was the Cleveland Clinic of Animal hospital.
Every time I called Dr. Mike all I ever said was I own the Fat Cat and he knew who I was talking about. Dr. Mike will truly be missed.

Such a sad loss for our community! And even sadder for the ones who knew him on a personal level. I always enjoyed our talks and listening to his stories. My son worked for him and always said he was the best boss ever.
Over the years, Dr Mike has taken phenomenal care of our fur-babies! He even saved the life of our German Shepard last year when he contracted parvo!
So many stories I could tell about his heroic actions with our beloved fur-babies.
He´s absolutely irreplaceable and will be greatly missed!

Thank you Dr. Metroka, for taking such good care of my kitties...even sending photos after surgery from your cell phone to put my mind at ease everything went well. Your kindness will never be replaced nor forgotten. I was honored to serve on the Humane Society board with you as well. I sure do hope there is a special place for you in heaven....until we meet again.

I moved to Sandusky in 1986. I bought all my pets to him. He would take pets in when no one else would or direct you to someone who could. He just saved my new puppy. He will be missed.

We are so sorry for the loss of your loved one thanks to him for taking good care of our cats through the 24 yrs i lived out there he was our vet and the only vet we ever went to he will be missed.

He is irreplaceable. He had an incredible passion for his work and the animals he treated. I will never forget how he went above and beyond for me when I finally had to say goodbye to my beloved cat.

I can´t even begin to express my sadness over the loss of our beloved Dr. Metroka. He was one of those kind, beautiful, and gentle souls that one is blessed to have come across. Mike, we cherish you and will always miss you. Thank you for taking excellent care of our fur babies and us. You will be missed beyond comprehension. Love you Mike.

Dr. Metroka took great care of our many pets for over 20 years. He brought so much value and compassion to our local community with his great veterinary services. He made an impact and will be sadly missed! Our thoughts are with his entire family during this difficult time.

Dr. Metroka cared for our Schnoodle, Parker for 12 years. He called Parker his miracle dog. He removed a tumor last year and did an awesome job. He took great care of Parker over the years and will be missed. Was a very good veterinarian.

Such a tragic loss. Dr. Mike treated our fur babies for the last 25 Years. He would always go out of his way to help us. He will be missed my so many. Our prayers for his family.

Mimi & Mike, I am so very sorry for the loss of your dad. I grew up knowing and watching him cherish you both, just as you did him. Love you both and will holding you in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about Dr Mike he called me at least 3 times a week to place orders and he wasn´t one to place his order and be off the phone.he really liked to chat and share stories. He was very proud of being at the top of his class in college. I will miss speaking with him RIP Dr Mike.

My heart is breaking over your loss. For 20 some yrs you've cared for my critters w/the most respect & digitney. The thought of someone caring for my critters is unimaginable!! I'm soooo gonna miss u!!! Tears won't stop coming over loosing you.....

Doctor Mike was a very compassionate man and an outstanding veterinarian. He will be missed.
