Michael G. Nutter, 65, of Sandusky, passed away Monday, Dec. 25, 2023, at University Hospital, Cleveland.

He was born April 28, 1958, in Sandusky, and graduated from Huron High School in 1976.

He was employed for 31 years at Glidden and retired from Ventra.

He loved fishing, boating, riding his motorcycle, winter trips to Florida, taking care of his cars, taking Sunday drives with his wife, and their weekly ice cream treats at Dairy Queen. He was a person that loved to help people and show love to his dogs.

He is survived by his wife, Mindy (Damanti) Nutter; mother, Brenda Toth; children, Mandy Hickman, Chadd Nutter, Craig (Sarah) Nutter, Carlie (Bradley) Andres, and Cristina (Ethan) Unzicker; grandchildren, Hayley, Grant, Olive, Evelyn, Galilee, Anchor, Arie, Abraham, Norah, Daveed, and Bear; sisters, Victoria (Sercan) Gunbatar, Misty Toth, Julia Toth, and Deanna (Alonzo) Harris; brothers, Rocky (Cara) Nutter and Kevin (Rachel) Toth; several nieces and nephews; and special companion, his dog, Bella.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Gene Nutter; stepfather, John Toth; daughter, Cassondra "Cassie" Ground; granddaughter, Hosanna Jael Unzicker; brother, Bruce Boling; father and mother-law, Anthony and Patricia Damanti; and his dog, Maggie.

Visitation for friends will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, and 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, until the time of Michael's funeral at 10 a.m., all at Faith Church, 1320 E. Strub Rd., Sandusky. The Rev. Tom Groot will officiate. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.

Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to Humane Society of Erie County, 1911 Superior St., Sandusky, Ohio, 44870, or Cassondra "Cassie" Ground Memorial Scholarship Fund.

My heart breaks to hear this.. mike worked with me in A14.. he was there when my dad passed away..while I was working on the line..he was so concerned about me and checked on me everyday.. he was definitely genuine I will always keep him and his smile in my heart...(A14 forever )
