Michael (Mike) T. Quayle, 82, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023.
Mike was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio. He later found his way to Mitchell, South Dakota, where he graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University with a degree in education. "Mr. Quayle" will be remembered by many for his decades-long career as a teacher with Sandusky City School District, while others might have known him as a professional wedding photographer, boat racer, or the guy always riding a tandem bicycle with his wife, Gretchen. He will be remembered as a father, grandparent, and good friend to others.
Mike is survived by his wife of 60 years, Gretchen; son, Jeffrey (Shirlayne); granddaughter, Jaxin; and many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2023, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, Ohio, 44839.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to Erie MetroParks, 3910 Perkins Ave., Huron, Ohio, 44839, is suggested.
