Michael Edward "Mike" Theisen passed away Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024.

Michael was born in Norwalk to Mary and Edward Theisen. He attended schools in Norwalk and graduated from Norwalk High School.

Michael was an excellent student, especially in math, where accounting became a career path. Michael attended Bowling Green State University with a degree in accounting which led him to working many years for General Motors and Delphi as a lead accountant, CPA, and futurist for these companies. As a Certified Public Accountant, he also provided services to clients in and around Norwalk.

Mike had many passions. He was very athletic, enjoying bowling, tennis, and golf. But by far, his greatest passion was riding motorcycles and taking road trips with his friends. He owned several powerful motorcycles, but he was really proud of his Harley Davidson motorcycles. He enjoyed riding around Lake Erie and the country roads of Ohio. Each summer he would plan a long ride somewhere in the United States. He traveled with his motorcycle to many national parks. He really liked visiting Colorado and riding through the mountains and discovering the beauty of many areas that are better reached by motorcycle. He would always leave several days to spend time with his sister, Toni, who lives in Colorado.

He is survived by his sister, Toni of Fort Collins, Colorado; brother, Robert and his wife, Rebecca of Reynoldsburg; nephew, Mike Theisen and his wife Anika, and their two children of Alexandria; and nephew, Patrick Theisen of Reynoldsburg.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Theisen and Edward Theisen.

There will not be a service, but a celebration of life in the summer.

Mike was a brilliant accountant, a vibrant person, and a true free spirit. He will be greatly missed.
