My'Eicia Amison Obituary

My'Eicia Renee' Amison

Apr 4, 1996 - Jan 2, 2025

Sandusky

My'Eicia Renee' Amison, 28, from Sandusky, entered into eternal rest Thursday, January 2, 2025, following a tragic automobile accident.

Born April 4, 1996, in Sandusky to Cornelius E. Amison Jr. and Deborah Veillette, My'Eicia gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was a devoted member of Porter's Memorial C.M.E. Church and Greater Faith Church, where her love for the Lord was evident in her actions and in the way she encouraged and treated others.

A proud 2014 honor roll graduate of Sandusky High School, My'Eicia's light shone brightly as she actively participated in various sports, clubs, and activities. She was a dedicated member of the varsity cheerleading team, band, orchestra, and mat stats. She went on to pursue her dreams at Bowling Green State University, aspiring to become a pilot.

My'Eicia's generous heart and vibrant spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. She found great joy in volunteering for various organizations, always striving to uplift and inspire those around her. Whether through her warm smile, kind words, or positive energy, My'Eicia could light up any room she entered.

Throughout her career, she worked at Bob Sumerel Tires and Popeye's Chicken; and previously served as an STNA. She also worked at Firelands Vending and Foster Chevrolet-Lucky Tires. Known for her encouragement and unwavering support, My'Eicia was a beacon of motivation for her friends and loved ones.

My'Eicia was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Cornelius Amison Sr. and Katie B. Keahey; and her maternal grandmother, Ingrid Kaszubski Houp.

My'Eicia is lovingly remembered by her parents, Cornelius (Arline) Amison Jr. and Deborah Veillette of Sandusky; foster parents, Robert and Rebecca Steele of Whites Landing; sister, Marquicia Campbell of Sandusky; brothers, Marcus (Tamara) Amison of New Carrollton, Maryland, Tyson Veillette and Thomas Veillette of Springfield, Massachusetts, Cornelius Amison III and Malachi Amison of Sandusky; special sisters, Da'Vesha Turner, Asia Amison and Aireeya Turnbow; confidante, Tanecha Charlton-Conway; godmother, Dr. Donna Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. They take solace in the promise of eternal life and the cherished memories My'Eicia leaves behind.

Visitation will be Friday, January 10, 2025, at 11-12 pm. At 12 p.m., family and friends will be provided an opportunity to share brief reflections until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. at Toft Funeral Home & Crematory, 2001 Columbus Ave., Sandusky. Pastor Clayton E. Howard Sr. will officiate and Pastor Reginald J. Taylor will provide the eulogy. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery. Condolences may be shared online toftfuneralhome.com.
