N. Violet Herner

N. Violet Herner, 102, of Bellevue, passed away peacefully Wednesday evening, Dec. 7, 2022, at her residence.

She was born July 2, 1920, in Tiffin, and was a 1939 graduate of Bellevue High School.

Violet was employed by J.C. Penney, Bellevue, prior to her retirement. She enjoyed 20 years as the 4-H Advisor for the Lyme Sunshine Girls. Her hobbies included her flower garden, flower arranging, traveling, and taking road trips to many of our National Parks.

She is survived by three daughters, Rita (Tom) Boals of Boise, Idaho, Nancy Osborn of Bellevue, and Bonnie Sue (Murray) Morgan of Mesa, Arizona; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Herner, in 1995; father, Howard Romig; mother, Goldie (Carter) Emerson; brother, Clifford Romig; and two sons-in law, Frank Osborn and Duane Peterson.

Friends may call 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, 2022, at Pfeil Funeral Home, Monroeville Chapel, 109 Monroe Street, Monroeville. Friends may also pay their respects 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, until the time of Violet's funeral at 11 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 121 W. Broad Street, Monroeville, Ohio, 44847. The Rev. Dan Pennington will officiate. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Monroeville.
