Jan 16, 1942 - Sep 4, 2025

Sandusky

Nancy S. Bryant, 83, residing in Sandusky, passed away Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Stein Hospice Care Center after a lengthy illness.

Nancy was born January 16, 1942, in Wilbur, Kentucky, to John Walker and Nancy Emeline (O'Bryan) Thompson. She was one of fourteen children.

Nancy married the love of her life, Ralph, April 20, 1960, in Louisa, Kentucky, and together they shared 65 wonderful years of marriage. In 1961, the couple made their home in Sandusky, Ohio, where Nancy held positions at Saginaw Wire, Stevenson's Book Binding Co., West Baking Company, and Bar Rubber Inc. before dedicating herself to raising her family as a stay-at-home mom. She found joy in tending to her yard and garden, watching scary movies, and most of all, spending time with her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her dear husband, Ralph H. Bryant; one son, Ralph E. Bryant of Sandusky; one daughter, Angela G. (Scott) Cantley of Huron; four grandchildren, Jacob A. (Tia) Schwanger of Norwalk, Karissa J. Fox of Miamisburg, Sarah (Ryan) Flemming of New Hampshire, and Evan Cantley of Michigan; two great-grandchildren, Walker A. and Lilly M. Schwanger; two sisters, L. Louise Cordle of Berlin Heights and Willa A. Elliott of Kentucky; one brother, Walker Thompson Jr. of Sandusky; one sister-in-law; Doris J. Crittenden of Georgia; and 22 nieces and 12 nephews.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law; Willie and Beatrice (Arrington) Bryant; seven sisters, Lois G. (Homer) Cordle, Genoa A. (Homer) Church, Mary E. (Johnny) Mora, Joy R. (Denny) Miller, Neva M. (Velvie) Robinett, Barbara J. (Howard) Borders, and Sharon F. (Hoover) Smith; three brothers, John J. (Bettie) Thompson, Harry J. (Ada) Thompson, and Lowell Thompson; 18 brothers and sisters-in-law; eight nephews; and a niece.

Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Groff Funeral Homes, Sandusky, with Pastor Don Greene presiding. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
