Willard
Nancy (Molz) Cherry, 88, of Willard, went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Sunday, February 8, 2026, passing peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Nancy was a loving mother of five, grandmother of nineteen, and great-grandmother of twenty-three.
She taught for many years at Heritage Christian School (Sandusky) and Harvest Temple Christian Academy (Clyde), serving wherever needed, from kindergarten to girls' P.E., Charm class, and Home Economics. Nancy also faithfully served in her church, teaching Sunday School and playing the piano or organ since she was 14.
She was preceded in death in 2021 by her beloved husband of over 60 years, Ralph Cherry.
She is survived by her children, Jonathan Cherry of St. Louis, Missouri, David (Jill) Cherry of Willard, Tim (Sandy) Cherry of Columbia, Missouri, Becky (David) Carpenter of West Salem, and Matthew (Shellie) Cherry of Willard; and by her 19 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
A private family graveside service will be Wednesday, February 11, 2026. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Bible Baptist Church, 727 S. Myrtle Ave, Willard, OH 44890. All are welcome and encouraged to attend, share memories and celebrate Nancy's eternal life in heaven with her Lord and Saviour.
