Nancy Ellen Turner-Berry, 73, of Lakeside, passed away Monday, June 26, 2023, after a lengthy illness.

She was born Feb. 3, 1950, in Buffalo, New York, was raised in Akron, and lived in Lakeside-Marblehead for over 40 years. She received her undergraduate degree from Baldwin Wallace University in Social Work and received her Master's Degree in Social Work from Case Western Reserve University.

Nancy worked for various nonprofit agencies in the area including United Way, Private Industry Council, Firelands Counseling and Recovery Services, and Lakeside Association. She served on the Danbury School Board and was a member of Port Clinton Kiwanis and Lakeside United Methodist Church. She volunteered her time at Otterbein, North Shore, and Lakeside United Methodist Church Library. She enjoyed reading, knitting, birdwatching, gardening, and following Cleveland baseball.

She is survived by her daughter, Melissa (Brett) Fries of Huron; son, Andrew Berry of Lakewood; five grandchildren; sister, Susan (Brian) Kruse of Midland, Michigan; two nephews; one niece; and beloved cat, Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mildred Turner.

Private family services will be at Sackett Cemetery, Danbury Township.
