Orpha May (Bush) Richardson, 78, of Huron, passed away Monday, Sept. 4, 2023, after an extended illness.

She was born Aug. 7, 1945, in Sandusky, to Ned and Lora (Morrison) Bush. Orpha graduated from Berlin Heights Local School and later worked many years in daycare. She married Billy Richardson on Feb. 5, 1971, and together, they had three children. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Huron.

Orpha is survived by her son, Jason Richardson (Monique Franceschi) of Rocky River; daughter, Linda Binette of Mesa, Arizona; grandchildren, Colin Richardson, Sara Riedel, Abigayle (Antonio) Valadez, and Kyle Richardson; great-grandchildren, Kalie Cotecson, Lilli Riedel, and Gio and Amari Valadez; sister, Karen (Clyde) Teegarden of Bryan; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Richardson of Arizona; brother-in-law, Scott Majoy of Sandusky; sister-in-law, Pearl Baker of Berlin Heights; nephews, Eugene Stacy, Jeff Bush, Raymond Bush, and Jonathan Majoy; niece, Lora (Jerry) Majoy-Jones and her son, Jared; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Gregory Van Richardson; parents; grandchildren, Seth Binette and Elisa DeGroot; sisters, Jurdine Clem and Rosemary Majoy; and brothers, Millard, Raymond, Clayton, and William "Ed" Bush.

Visitation for friends and family will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St., Huron, Ohio, 44839. Orpha's service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 8, 2023, at the funeral home with Pastor Molly Hayes of Crossroads Church, Norwalk, officiating. Burial will follow at Meadow Green Memorial Park, 2602 Bogart Rd., Huron, Ohio, 44839.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Victory Temple Soup Kitchen, 1607 Hayes Ave., Sandusky, Ohio, 44870.
