Patricia L. Sotak, 93, of Lakeside-Marblehead, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo.

She was born Jan. 10, 1929, in Wheeling, West Virginia, the daughter of Clarence and Mary (Rigsby) Macklin. She married John Sotak on May 30, 1953, and he preceded her in death June 9, 2000.

Patricia was a nurse in the maternity ward at Magruder Hospital, retiring in 1992. She also worked at Mary Pats Crafts, Marblehead, for 20 years. When not working or with family, she was an avid reader and painter. Pat was a long-time member of St. Mary's Byzantine Church, Marblehead, and later in life, she was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead, where she was active in the Bible Study Group.

Patricia is survived by six children, Michael Sotak of Lakeside, John Sotak of Port Clinton, Mary Pat (Tim Almendinger) Bishoff of Marblehead, Joan Wadsworth of Port Clinton, Joseph (Kelley) Sotak of Danbury, and David (Michelle) Sotak of Elmore; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Hartman of Marblehead and Evelyn Boyd of California; brother-in-law, Charles Cousino of Toledo; and two cats, Millie and Tillie.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Anne Cousino; daughter-in-law, Peggy Sotak; son-in-law, Keith Bishoff; and two brothers-in-law, Robert Hartman and Claude Boyd.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 822 Barclay St., Marblehead, 43440, with Father Joseph Szybka as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary's Byzantine Church Cemetery, Marblehead.

Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2022, at Neidecker, Crosser, & Priesman Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Peninsula Chapel, 7755 E. Harbor Rd., Lakeside-Marblehead, and 9-9:45 a.m. Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be given to Danbury Township Fire Fighters Association or St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marblehead.
